LOOKEAST REPORT
The DGFI has gone berserk over the expose on the failed assassination bid on Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
They have forced the PMO to issue a press release, using one of their assets there, against the wishes of many senior people like Media Adviser to PM. By blocking LOOKEAST story on the assassination bid and then by stupidly issuing the denial, they have actually got all interested in what happened. Some media outlets carried the denial but hyperlinked Indian media stories on the assassination. We must thank some bold journalists like Pir Habib bhai who stood up to them. They are trying to project the story as an attempt to desstabilise Bangladesh, as if the actual assassination attempt was not one of them. It is the ISI which is trying to destabilise Bangladesh and oust Hasina, even kill her, not LOOKEAST story.

We hold Sheikh Hasina dear to our (Indians) heart and believed firmly that the expose will deter the janaabs in Islamabad and Karachi to desist from such nefarious plots like trying to kill your Apa or destablise Rakhine. They should know Indian and Bangladesh civilian intelligence agencies work very closely now (maybe the DGFI still prefers to follow its role model, the ISI – what with two of their directors who came back from staff college in Pakistan recently) and can foil, with help of latest SIGNINT equipment from US and Israel snoop effectively into plotter communication.

Because their masters in Pakistan don’t want it. The nefarious plot to create a new theatre of jihad in Eastern South Asia has to be fought and defeated by India, Bangladesh and Myanmar – will DGFI side with this effort or with the ISI’s efforts to create a new jihad theatre is left to their bigwigs.
