A policeman was killed and several others injured in Molotov cocktail explosions near Sholakia ground in Bangladesh’s Kishoreganj town, just before prayers began at the country’s largest Eid congregation.
Police constable Jahurul Haque, 30, succumbed to his burn wounds after blasts hit a gate at Azimuddin School, a kilometre away from the prayer ground.
At least 12 persons have been injured.
Unconfirmed reports say police shot down an attacker and encircled the others believed to holed up in a local building.
